There is a collection In the right perineal region in the extrasphincteric space. It measures 13.2 x 4.3 x 4.0 cm in size. It is hyper intense on T2 W and hypointense on T1 W images. It shows a few ramifications.
It is extending anterio-superiorly up to the 10 o’clock position at the level of levator sling. There is no superalevator extension. In its inferior part, it is Involving the external sphincter in the 7 o’clock position causing thickening and oedema of the sphincter with oedematous changes in the intersphincteric space
No internal external opening could be discerned
Impression: MR findings revealed right perineal abscess.
